TOM HERTZCreator/Executive Producer RULES OF ENGAGEMENT Tom Hertz made several appearances as a stand-up comedian on cable television before becoming a television writer. He helped to create “The John Stewart Show” for MTV in the early ’90s. Hertz spent two seasons as a writer on “Dennis Miller Live”, and was nominated for an Emmy Award for both of those years. He won the Emmy Award in 1995 for that show. His additional writing credits include “The Larry Sanders Show” and “Spin City”, where he became an executive producer on the series when Michael J. Fox was replaced with Charlie Sheen. He created the comedy “Married to the Kellys” and then became the showrunner for “The King of Queens”. |
